Margaret Mildred Kittredge aka Kit
Kit is a 4th grader at Star Valley Elementary; she lives a life of the 1930s Great Depression mixed with modern times. Kit finds ways to 'pinch' or save pennys since her family doesn't have much money. Kit is not very 'girly.' She hates pink and frills. Her favorite colors are blue, green and yellow. Kit loves reading about Robin Hood and all of his adventures. She also loves writing and reporting anything and everything that goes on around her and is worth writing about. She has a small paper she and her friends started, called 'Hard Time News.' Kit also finds creative ways to be effiecient with things like her chores.
